Center City Park, located in the heart of downtown Greensboro, was one of the key components of Action Greensboro’s 2001 Center City Master Plan.
Designed by Halvorson Design of Boston, its paved trails, green space, fountains, and public art provide a venue for relaxation, health and wellness activities, and entertainment.
Center City Park cost more than $12 million to build, with land acquisition accounting for $6 million and design and construction adding $5.5 million. Cemala, a member of Action Greensboro since 2000, partnered with other foundations to raise funds for the park.
